After 30 plus years in this business I look around me today and realize that the professionals that are left standing out here today are the best of the best in every phase of the residential real estate industry. They had to be to survive the last 3 years. I don't care what the perfect haired Barbie and Ken talking heads on the 24/7 yellow news shows (it's political opinion and all they do is read a teleprompter) try to convince us of otherwise.  There's enough blame for what got us "here" to go around from a Congress that pushed for more homeownership to the buyer/seller that reaped the equity whirlwind while it lasted and every facilitator along the way. Kind of like musical deck chairs on the Titanic. But it's still history!

The same Realtors®, mortgage professionals, title agents, appraisers and others that have made it through the last 10, 20 and 30 years or so of recession followed by recession and are still helping one family at a time to buy their first home, sell their current home to move to the home of their dreams, or simply restructure what they have in to a more manageable monthly obligation are still doing what we do because we are very good at it and care about providing the best product for our customers for a decent living wage. Even with all the new consumer protection legislation that seems to be little more than one more rock in the road to recovery after another in the last two years thanks to Washington. Those that are left are the real professionals...

So don't hesitate. Don't think twice about it. You should be working with a RealtorĀ® if you are truly serious about getting your home off the block.
